The College's strategy is to enhance performance by creating term professorships, adding graduate fellowships and equipping laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment.
Like most of the University of Florida, the College of Health and Human Performance earns significant portions of its operation resources from tuition, sponsored research, grants, recreation fees and other sources, including private contributions.
Private investment has been vital to the performance of the college. During the last capital campaign, we raised $3.4 million from alumni and friends, which greatly advanced our mission.
Private endowments for term professorships and fellowships give the college long-term competitive advantages because these funds provide a dependable source of added revenue year after year. Invested carefully, they are an effective hedge against rising costs and a valuable planning tool.
Similarly, new technology for our laboratories and strong support for current programs are investments in continued performance and productivity.
