Teaching And Research Expertise

Additional term professorships will enable the college to expand our teaching and research expertise by bringing visiting scholars to campus. This is an important and cost-effective means of enhancing our programs and research efforts. We cannot count on continued budget flexibility to hire as new needs arise. Each term professorship could be used, for example, to hire on a temporary contract a professor from another institution who is on sabbatical to assist us in a particular research or teaching project as well as to provide continuing professional growth for our faculty endowed term professorships - beginning at $150,000 each - offer naming opportunities, and each endowment gift is eligible for available state matching funds

Wherever I travel on business, people are impressed that I am an alumnus of the University of Florida. It gives me a chance to brag a little about Gator academics and athletics. Our university and College of Health and Human Performance have an outstanding reputation and enjoy a solid leadership position among peer institutions. I am proud to be a graduate.
